Maritime Transport – Navigation
RTU Latvian Maritime Academy
Study programme “Maritime Transport – Navigation” main areas: navigation, ship construction and stability, technical means of navigation, watch-keeping, bridge resource management, cargo handling technology, maritime safety, maritime law, marine pollution prevention, maritime communication, maritime English and ship management. Studies are organised in the form of lectures, seminars, project works and discussion groups. The programme incorporates two six-month shipboard trainings.
Students can apply for Erasmus+ scholarships for study mobility and/or traineeship mobility.

A navigating officer or subsequently a master on merchant or other vessels, a manager or a superintendent in maritime or other shore-based companies
The obtained professional Bachelor Degree in Maritime Transport provides the opportunity to study at the Master study programme Maritime Transport.
