Engineering Technology, Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering
Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Transport and Aeronautics
Mechanical Engineers enhance the quality of our life as almost every aspect of modern life involves directly or indirectly mechanical engineering.
The Master study programme “Engineering Technology, Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering” is designed to provide knowledge and skills for applying a scientific foundation to solve engineering problems in various engineering industries.
The main aim of the Master study programme is to train specialists in engineering science who would be able to work in modern engineering labour market, that is currently developing in Latvia and European Union, targeting economy to a higher level of economic development – international or global management system.
Studies focus on specialised courses in Applied Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering and Processing Techniques with a particular interest in the development of new composite materials, analysis of large dynamic systems, design of medical equipment and robotic devices.

Engineers with the Master degree in Engineering technology, Mechanics and Mechanical engineering have large employment opportunities for both local and international projects that require experience in combustion, noise and vibration control processes, energy extraction technologies, robotics, bioengineering, aeronautics, fluid mechanics, water supply, maintenance of machinery and equipment design, consumer product design, pollution control and synthesis of new materials.
It is possible to continue education to obtain a degree of Doctor Engineering Science.
