RTU hosts the delegation of Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry in Uzbekistan

On May 30, delegation of Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry (TITLI), Uzbekistan led by the Rector Professor Ilkhom Sabirov paid a working visit to Riga Technical University (RTU), in order to get to know each other better, discuss possibilities in establishing collaboration in the fields of design and chemical technologies, as well as to acquire a deeper insight into the development of RTU’s infrastructure and technical supply.

Rector of RTU, Academician Leonīds Ribickis hosted an introductory meeting with our guests, in order to discuss the ideas of further possible cooperation in studies, research and innovation and sign the Memorandum of Understanding between both institutions.

TITLI delegation met with the Dean of the Faculty of Materials Science and Applied Chemistry Prof. Māris Turks, representatives of the Institute of Design Technologies – Director Dana Beļakova and Leading researcher Ilze Baltiņa –, Professor of the Institute of Polymer Materials Remo Merijs-Meri and Head of the study programme “Engineering Technology, Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering” Marina Čerpinska.

During the visit, TITLI delegation had discussions with the representatives of Foreign Students Foundation and Short-Term Courses Unit – Head Nataļja Muračova and Project manager Artūrs Lūsis – and Project manager of the International Cooperation Unit Ēriks Badamšins.
