Japanese movie evening at International Cooperation Center of RTU

On April 19 RTU International Cooperation and Foreign Students department in cooperation with the the Embassy of Japan in Latvia organised a Japanese movie evening with a purpose to promote study possibilities in Japan and deliver an in-depth information regarding scholarships (for implementing both studies and research) provided by the Government of Japan. In addition the insight of current cooperation between RTU and the universities in Japan  was provided by the professor Mr Igors Tipans -Director of International Cooperation and Foreign Students Department. The event was attended by Latvian, Japanese and other foreign students of RTU.

ERASMUS+ KA2 PROJECT “EXTEND” Meeting in Saransk

From February 24th until March 4th 2018 a joint meeting was organized by Erasmus+ KA2 capacity building in higher education project “EXTEND” (Excellence in Engineering Education through Teacher Training and New Pedagogic Approaches in Russia and Tajikistan) consortium in Saransk, Russia, hosted by Ogarev Mordovia State University.

ERASMUS+ KA2 PROJECT “MEGA” Meeting in Bloemfontein

During a period of three days (10.04.2018 – 12.04.2018) Erasmus+ KA2 capacity building in higher education project “MEGA” (Building capacity by implementing mhGAP mobile intervention in SADC countries) consortium partners met for a working session in Bloemfontein, South Africa, hosted by University of the Free State.

Conference and Exhibition APAIE 2018

From 25 – 28 March 2018 in Singapore, representatives from the Riga Technical University (RTU) took part in the annual Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) 2018 Conference and Exhibition. During the event, which was hosted by National University of Singapore and three co-hosting universities (Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University, and Singapore University of Technology and Design), RTU met with representatives from partner and non-partner universities worldwide and explored opportunities for academic collaboration.
